The Behavior Support Specialist will develop specialized behavioral interventions using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavior Support (PBS) to address individuals challenging behaviors. The BSS will also support the acquisition and maintenance of adaptive life skills, and ultimately increase individuals’ self-sufficiency.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide 1:1 services to individuals
* Complete a Functional Behavioral Analysis (FBA) and develop an individualized Behavioral Support Plan (BSP) within 30 days.
* Assist individuals with developing adaptive behaviors that replace or modify challenging behaviors that are disruptive or destructive.
* Provide coaching and assistance to Direct Support Professionals to implement interventions stated in the BSP.
* Complete necessary training based on the Individuals needs.
* Maintain and update the FBA, BSP, AND CIP as needed.
* Abide by all Policy Guidelines
